Major event dedicated to contemporary audiovisual creation, and after Paris in January at Gaîté Lyrique, Les Rencontres Internationales will be held in Berlin from March 15 to 20, 2016, at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Throughout 6 days of free access, a space for discovery and sharing focused on moving image contemporary practices will be available to all.

Crossing new cinema and contemporary art, this unique platform in Europe provides a rare opening on contemporary audiovisual practices. Documentary approaches, experimental fictions, videos, hybrid forms: the programme of Les Rencontres Internationales is the result of a thorough research and of invitations to some artists, personalities from cinema and the contemporary art fields.

In the presence of artists and filmmakers from all over the world, you will attend screenings - premieres, cartes blanches, special events, video focus -, performances and a forum where experiences and views on new audiovisual practices will be shared.

Contemporary visual culture holds the convergence between the aesthetic, social and political issues and adapts to the continuing development of production and dissemination technologies. Les Rencontres Internationales offers a future-oriented way of observing these practices.
